HI my name is Judy I am a widow my husband passed away May 07 2008. I had no idea how complicated things can get when you loose your husband. My husband Bill was disabled even before we found out he had a fatal disease. I myself am also disabled. After readjusting my disability check and my husband's social security I make less now than I did when my husband was alive. I like so many of you live from pay check to pay check. I was counting on our new President to keep the disabled and the elderly in mind when he signed the stimulus packager I can't get an answer on this question. Does the disabled and the elderly get a check from the stimulus package the President singed the other day. Like so many of you I am in desperate need for money. I did not have enough out of my husband's life insurance to buy him a head stone yet. I was depending on this stimulus check to help me get a head stone for my husband's grave. If any one has the answer to if we do or do not get a stimulus check I would appreciate it if you would leave your answer here so I can finally know what's going on I'll check in later to see if someone knows what is going on. thanks, Judy
If ever you find an elderly person who is unconscious and not showing obvious signs of life, check their pulse. It is easiest to find it by placing two fingers just below the jaw under the joint.
You can check with your local government's disability services department, search online for disability resources in your area, contact disability advocacy organizations, or visit the website of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for information on accommodations and resources for the disabled.
Some countries offer tax breaks for elderly individuals, such as higher standard deductions or lower tax rates. These tax breaks are aimed at helping seniors manage their finances in retirement. It's important to check with a tax professional or the local tax authority for specific details on tax benefits for the elderly in a particular country.
Yes, many food delivery services offer contactless delivery options where the food can be left at the door for the elderly couple. It's important to check with the specific delivery service for their contactless delivery procedures and options.
The requirements for providing in-home elderly care vary by location, so it's important to check with your local health department or licensing agency to determine if special permits are needed. Some areas may require certification, background checks, or specific training to provide care for elderly individuals in your home.
At this time no stimulus check available for the year 2010.

If you still owe whomever offset the 2007 refund, then they will also take your stimulus check.
Given that your parents have a hard time walking, you should check into tours targeted at the disabled. Here's a blog that will give you more information on these types of tours in Paris specifically: http://www.colleensparis.com/blog/links/sightseeing-disabled-travelers-and-wine-tours/

If I become disabled I will get a check for not working
Yes. There are a lot of remodeling contractors that specialize in modifying houses for the elderly and handicapped. Check with your local organizations for handicapped to get referals. Also google remodeling contractors that specialize in "aging in place". It is a growing market and you'll find them.
If you filed an income tax form for 2007, you will get a stimulus check if you qualify. There is no form to file.

How soon you get the stimulus check depends on the last digit of your SS number. The lower the number, the sooner you get the check.
