That really depends on the judge in the city or county of the state that you were charged in. You can bet that at 36 over it will probably be a felony offense.(Sorry)

There is a limit to how fast you can drive over the speed limit before it is considered a felony. I'm pretty certain that limit is 20 mph over in most states.

I am age 51 now. When I was younger and wiser(LOL) I had more speeding tickets than anyone I knew. I had my driving priviledges suspended twice. If that isn't enough, I even had my temporary learning permit(age 16) suspended for driving without a licensed driver. If life was a horse race, I couldn't even get out of the chute.

Today I am proud to say that I haven't had a ticket for 20 yrs. I am the slow poke(obeying the speed limit) that people are trying to get around.

Please slow down. Get yourself an iPod, plug it in to your radio and listen to something constructive while you drive. It is cheaper, safer and before you know it you will have arrived at your destination.

If you get two speeding tickets in one month in Georgia will the second one be higher than the first?

Not necessarily. The fine is based upon the infraction. For example, if for the 1st ticket you were going 90 MPH in a 25 MPH zone and for the 2nd ticket you were going 30 MPH in a 25 MPH zone, the 2nd ticket's fine would be less than the first. That's plain logic.
