How does overpopulation affect the rate of food in the world?

As expanded by Thomas Malthus and further expanded by Charles Darwin, food is a resource that in it's limits regulates populations. Malthus stated this occured in humans, while Darwin applied it as a concept of Biology to apply to all organisms.

The more people there are, the greater the amount of food is needed. If there is not enough food to feed people in a specific place, then there is food shortage in that place.

When people do not get enough food, their health is affected. People become under nourished when they do not have enough food to eat. Undernourished children are more likely to get sick and sometimes, they die.
