People are unemployed because they do not have the skill sets required by employers.
No, you cannot VOLUNTARILY make yourself unemployed and then claim unemployment compensation because of it.
No, you have got it wrong you don't get unemployment for failing a drug test you get it because you are unemployed
It underestimates the unemplyment rate. The Labor Force consists of two catagories, Employed and Unemployed. Assuming you know what an unemployed citizen is, then you can understand it might be frustrating when an unemployed person can not find a job. Once a month, the government (at least in the USA) asking if you are currently looking for work. If stated no, that person is no longer Unemployed, but said to be Not in the Labor Force. Because of this, the unemployment rate is underestimating, because really, this person wants a job and has become too frustrated to continue the job search.
No, because when you are unemployed it means that you don't have a job and aren't making any income.
Measuring unemployment accurately is made difficult because of imperfect knowledge. Not all instances of unemployment are recorded, and some records of unemployment may not be accurate. Because the unemployed are eligible for benefits, some individuals may work, but not disclose it, and claim benefit. Conversely, many unemployed may not bother to inform the authorities, and this unemployment goes unrecorded.
Yes, it is possible. The unemployment rate is calculated by dividing the number of unemployed people by the number of people in the labor force. The labor force does not include people who are not actively looking for work because they are discouraged by the job market. If over the month, some of the unemployed get jobs, and some of those who were discouraged rejoin the labor force so that they get counted in the "unemployed", employment would go up and the unemployment rate could go up. It would depend on the net effect on the "unemployed" group - if there are more people who rejoin the labor force than those who move from "unemployed" to "employed" then the unemployment rate would go up while employment also increases.
neither... because it really depends on how we look at the data. most spells of unemployment are short. yet most weeks of unemployment are attributable to the small number of long term unemployed. source: Microeconomics by Mankiv
The natural rate of unemployment cannot equal zero, because there will always be people seeking full time employment, because they are dissatisfied with their present job, or are newly in the workforce, etc. and hence are unemployed.
No, because teachers are contracted to work for a year (July-June), they aren't considered unemployed.
yes. the adoption of ICT will lead to unemployment because the machines are manily brought in to do the work of the human being. Therefore, the human being would have to be sacked due leaving him unemployed and jobless.
You become volluntarily unemployed if you resign from a job rather being dismissed from it, you leave the job of your own choice.
