The problems of rural population vary in different countries which can be categorized into More Economically Developed Country (MEDC) and Less Economically Developed Country (LEDC).

There aren't necessarily any problems faced by rural population alone, but HIGH rural population can cause problems, especially in LEDC's.

The problems include:

- Limited access to health services

- Poor sanitation

- Poor infrastructure

- Limited education

In MEDC's the problems include:

- Higher pollution levels from migration to the city

- High unemployment in rural areas due to lack of jobs

- More housing required, causing damage to wild habitats

These are just a few of the many problems that occur
