If the permit is valid and you are complying with all the regulations a check may be made and nothing will happen

Well 1st of all you should not have been driving with out a permit. Can you imagine what would have happened if you got caught by the police?! Don't do it again. You most certainly would have gone to jail! BE SMART..YOUR 15...THINK!
You will go to jail if the person who caught you was the police. You will get in trouble if it was your parents and so on. If their is a rule against it...DON'T DO IT!
You no longer have a valid driving permit
If you got caught driving without a licensed driver and you only have a permit you would get a ticket and lose your permit. Additionally the car could get impounded and towed away.
Nothing, they will just have to look you up in their system on the laptop, and it goes on your record that you weren't prepared.
