Only if you are willing to live a lie and can be OK with that. Often, the children will be affected unconsciously by one or both parents staying together for the "sake of the children". Why would a person really want their parents to stay together despite no love or being unhappy?
It means joining several sentences together to form one sentence. This is often done by using words like "and", "or" and "but."
