By 2030, the population around the globe will be closing in on 8.5 billion people. By 2050, the population will hit 9 billion. Eventually, though, it will cap sometime around 2100-2150 and start going down.
Population might also go down just because people move out from Earth in the next 150 years to other planets and eventually outside of our own solar system and maybe someday in the very distant future, the galaxy. There are problems here though, because lots of people are born annually and space travel isn't straight forward for the poor.
