there are 9 digits in the SSN
The digits in the Social Security number allow for the orderly assignment of numbers. The number is divided into three parts: the area, group and serial numbers.
The first three (3) digits (area) of a person's social security number are determined by the ZIP Code of the mailing address shown on the application for a social security number.
Within each area, the group number (middle two (2) digits) range from 01 to 99 but are not assigned in consecutive order. For administrative reasons, group numbers issued first consist of the ODD numbers from 01 through 09 and then EVEN numbers from 10 through 98, within each area number allocated to a State. After all numbers in group 98 of a particular area have been issued, the EVEN Groups 02 through 08 are used, followed by ODD Groups 11 through 99. Within each group, the serial numbers (last four (4) digits) run consecutively from 0001 through 9999.
A social security number is qualitative data. It is made of numbers, but it is not a total or a count or an average etc., and you never do any numerical calculations with it. It just uniquely identifies an individual.
It identifies you. It gives some information about the person. It is not a count or a total or an average, or any numeric kind of information. While it does have the word number in it, it is not counting anything. You never add social security numbers together, or get the average social security number or do any other such numerical calculation with them. You do that with quantitative data.

A Social Security number consists of 9 digits and is structured as follows: 000-00-0000 The first set of three digits is called the "Area Number", and is based on the mailing address ZIP code used by the applicant. The second set of two digits is called the "Group Number"and is a series of odd and even numbers. The first set consists of odd numbers running from 01-09. Once these odd group numbers have been used, even group numbers take their place and range from 10-98. Once all of these group numbers are exhausted, the order is reversed, with even group numbers (2-8) coming first, followed by odd group numbers (11-99). The third set of four digits is called the "Serial Number", and runs consecutively from 0001-9999.

In most places, the taxation is based on your total income, not just the portion from social security.
No.
You only have to pay tax on your Social Security income if your total taxable income is $25,000 or more for a single taxpayer, or $32,000 or more for a couple filing jointly. If your total income is below that amount, then you do not have to pay tax on your Social Security benefits.
Reveal nothing to a total stranger if possible. Especially your social security number, address and date of birth.
Social Security Taxes are a Proportional Tax. A Percentage of a person's income is paid to Social Security, this is half of the total amount paid to them, the Other half of a person's Social Security Tax is paid by the Employer.
