We live in California and spend approximately 1000 per month on average. About 750 is spent on groceries and 250 on eating out. We are trying to cut our costs by not eating out and buying only what we need, but still can't seem to get it down below those amounts.

If your spending over a 1000 dollars on a couple of things there is a problem..

750 dollars worth of groceries in one month.. that's horrible.. either ur eating extremely healthy or u jus want to spend money. in my advice I would spend about 200 on groceries only if it was needed..
