GM Chickens are genetically modified chickens.
Genetically modified(GM)organisms are those organisms whose DNA, or genetic material has been altered through modern biotechnology whereas GM foods are those from genetically engineered crops.
They are genetically modified.
GM = Genetically Modified. It means that the genes of the species have been modified, usually by introducing a gene from some other species.GM = Genetically Modified. By GM, you probably mean genetically modified. That means the chicken's DNA has been modified to make it "better". A typical improvement is faster than average growth rate. The normal chicken has not been genetically modified. Organic chickens are not only not genetically modified themselves, but are fed food that has not been genetically modified either. These are considered the healthiest, but are also the most expensive. The GM has nothing to do with General Motors.
Some of the GM, or genetically modified, foods include crops, meats, and dairy. Cows are normally fed a GM diet to enhance the meat or dairy and many of the time the fertilzer in crops such as corn and tomatoes are genetically modified as well.

There are no known genetically modified banana as of May 2014.
Sadly, almost all the food out there is genetically modified(gm). You can find more natural foods by purchasing organic or all natural products, but they are not guaranteed to be gm free.
There are currently no genetically modified animals that are approved for consumption in the UK or USA. Genetically modified salmon, with growth hormones inserted, look to be winning the race to be the first GM animal to be approved for human consumption. However there is plenty of opposition against GM animals as food by many campaigners
According to recent studies, Morgellons Disease may be linked to genetically modified food. Soy allergies may also be triggered by GM food.
Bioengineered crops and genetically modified (GM) crops often refer to similar concepts, but there are subtle distinctions. Bioengineered crops are those that have been altered using biotechnology techniques, which may include methods like gene editing. In contrast, genetically modified crops typically refer to those that have had specific genes inserted or modified using traditional GM techniques. Essentially, all bioengineered crops can be considered genetically modified, but not all genetically modified crops fall under the broader category of bioengineering, as the latter encompasses a wider range of biotechnological innovations.
