A 'gold-ish' coloured diamond is categorically a brown diamond, with a named colour, such as cognac or chocolate or other named colour for a brown diamond. Every diamond is valued by its cut, colour, clarity and carat weight.
I'm pretty sure you can't do that. I know that if you expose the diamond to extreme heat it can enhance the natural color, but not to such an extreme degree as to remove the brown from a diamond and convert it to a colorless diamond. Usually brown diamonds are formed when minerals or elements get trapped within the diamond's chemical structure creating a tint. This is impossible to change. Diamond clarity, however, can be enhanced by using a laser.
A diamond described as a 'gold' diamond may be a white diamond naturally coloured with a yellow colour, or may be a description for a light brown diamond. Gold is not a common description given for a coloured diamond.
