Why the earth is warm enough for life

A quantity of of the light energy from the sun is absorbed by the surface of the Earth. As a result, the earth's surface becomes hotter. The sun itself becomes a source of radiation and emits infrared radiation back into space. There is a steady balance of energy flow in from the sun and energy flow back out to space. As a result the earth remains balance/stable at around 290K.

Effect of Temperature on Surface Tension

surface tension decreases with the increase of temperature

Is the biogeochemical cycle that describes the movement of oxygen within and between it's three main reservoirs

The Oxygen Cycle

How does warming of the ocean disrupt the water cycle

Warming of oceans raise the temperature. More water gets evaporated.

What biospheres are involved in the water cycle

Geosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere are involved. Water travels through these spheres.

What is the effect of temperature at the rate of diffusion

Increase in temperature will increase the rate of diffusion.

What is the process that is the basis of the carbon cycle

process that is the basis of the carbon cycle

What type of organism is responsible for performing the majority of nitrogen fixation

bacteria

Near the shore winds tend to blow toward the land during the day what drives this process

Warm air above the land rises and is replaced by cooler air from the water, causing a convection current.

Just got this from apex!

What phrase best describes a temperate grassland

Is home to herds

What sphere is part of the carbon and water cycles but absent from the phosphorus cycle

Atmosphere

What process directly moves nutrients from plants to animals

B. Transpiration. (APEX)

Which process is part of the carbon cycle

cellular respiration
