exosckelton also prevents dessication.
they have metameric segmentation; tagmatisation : where several
segments fuse to form one tagmata.
they have compound eyes.
Diagnostic features of Arachnida eg : scorpion
terrestrial
2 tagmata:cephalothorax and abdomen
no antennae
simply eyes only
no larval form
