Rewriting a sentence from a text in your own words

In Act 1, Lady Macbeth is the planner, the one who is dragging her reluctant husband into committing one murder. But by Act 4, Macbeth commits murder after murder and Lady Macbeth is the reluctant one, nauseated and consumed with guilt by the bloodshed. The roles actually reverse much earlier in the play, when Macbeth kills the grooms. That was not in Lady Macbeth's plan, and she is horrified by it.

Macbeth does not reveal his plan to kill Banquo and Fleance (Banquo's son) to Lady Macbeth.

Blank verse is a form of verse that uses iambic pentameter.

The reason he tells the murderers is not the same as the one he tells himself. To himself, he says that he is afraid that people will think that Banquo might make a better king than he is, and get rid of him to put Banquo on the throne. He talks about the witches' prophecy that Banquo's descendants will be kings but forgets all about the one which says that Banquo himself will never be king. So he is going to kill Fleance because of the witches' prophecy and kill Banquo in spite of it. The reason he gives the murderers is vague: that Banquo is his enemy. He does not explain why, but it is suggested that it involves the kind of wrongs the murderers are said to have suffered at Banquo's hands.

Macbeth believes he has to kill Duncan's guards in case they heard anything happen in the room while Macbeth was killing Duncan.

Duncan is such a good and popular king; it would be cruel to kill him and make the country sad.
