allergy
The immune system reacts to foreign substances.
The condition in which the body reacts to foods or substances is known as an allergy. Allergies occur when the immune system mistakenly identifies a normally harmless substance as a threat and produces antibodies to fight it, leading to symptoms such as hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
The immune system reacts to substances as threats to the body health. When the allergens are inhaled the first response of the immune system is to attack and attempt to stop the particles from harming the body.
The Immune System is the defense network of the body. The immune system works with specific receptors on specialized cells - detecting foreign bodies and signaling for the immune system to destroy them.

Immune system
Experts are not sure, and studies and research are ongoing. Several theories exist but unfortunately, none of these theories has yet been scientifically proven. Most experts agree that the immune system of people with Crohn's disease reacts abnormally - it treats good bacteria, foods, and other substances that are good for us as foreign and unwanted substances. In other words, the patients own immune system attacks. This leaves us with the question, does Crohn's disease cause an abnormal immune system response, or does an abnormal immune system response cause Crohn's disease
Immunocompetence
The immune system is responsible for protecting the body against foreign substances like bacteria, viruses, and toxins. It does this by identifying and destroying pathogens that can cause harm to the body. Through a complex network of cells, tissues, and organs, the immune system works to keep the body healthy and defend against infection.
