"Anorexia Nervosa is a dangerous eating disorder in which a person starves themselves in a desprate attempt to lose weight."
Fasting, exercising, restricting calories, taking diet pills, and purging food are common methods.
Anorexics will often use mirrors to judge their reflection or appearance and to mark progress of weight lossbased on what they see in the mirror's reflection.
Both are very dangerous eating disorders. Bulimia is slightly more common than anorexia. Bulimia is characterized by bingeing (excessive eating in a short span of time) and then purging (forcefully throwing up, laxative abuse, ect.) to rid the body fo the food shortly after. Anorexia is characterized by a sharp decrease and restriction of calories and food, along with excessive exercise. Both are activities done in order to drastically and dangerously lose weight.
There are two major psychiological disorders for that behavior: anorexia and bulimia. Anorexia is when someone has a distorted image of him/herself and always sees him/herself to be "overweight" and starves. Anorexia results in a huge weight loss and is usually found to be affecting girls from high-achieving families (out of a pool of girls that have eating disorders). Bulimia is similar to anorexia in the sense that one thinks he/she is overweight, and starves. However, bulimics tend to starve for a while then go on an eating binge only to puke it out or use laxatives. Bulimics usually are at a "healthy" weight or slightly overweight, although their eating habits are completely unhealthy.
A good online food tracker that you can use is located on Weight Watchers. Its free to use and you can easily record your food intake to help you lose weight and feel great about yourself.
Bulimia
If you don't use the calories from the twizzlers then yes. In order to gain weight you have to receive more calories from food than you use during the day. Theoretically any food could make you gain weight.
The common medical symptom of loss of appetite is called "anorexia".This is often confused by some people's use of the word "Anorexia" to mean Anorexia Nervosa, which is a diagnosed condition with components requiring intervention in both medical and psychological disciplines. Sometimes you must determine by context which is being referenced.Examples:"Doctor, I'm just not feeling well, I'm not hungry and I get tired easily," said the woman."How long have you had this anorexia, and have you also had weight loss?" asked the doctor."My sister has finally accepted treatment for her Anorexia at a specialized treatment center for Anorexics, she is down to 88 pounds now.""Our facility is specialized in the treatment of Anorexia Nervosa.""Some of the early symptoms of clinical depression are: lack of interest in normal activities, hypersomnolence, anorexia (or increased appetite and binging), fatigue, and inattention to appearance and hygiene.""Poor Bob was diagnosed with cancer. The first sign he had of anything wrong was when he began losing weight due to severe anorexia and nausea."See the link below for more information about the symptom of anorexia and about the condition of Anorexia Nervosa.
eating disorders Anorexia is considered to be an eating disorder. It can also fall under some other catergories, like a "condition", "mental disorder", "emotional disorder", and a "physical disorder". It depends possibly on the cause (depression, BDD, media, ect.) and also who you ask, as some doctors / people only believe it is a certain type of condition, and not another.
That one is called anorexia nervosa. Bulimia involves the use of vomiting and/or laxatives to purge the food, though it is possible to be both anorexic and bulimic. Note that most bulimics appear to have normal weights, as they do not usually restrict the food to the extent that anorexics will.
You can eat "normal food". All you have to do is use the weight scale, measuring cups, and measuring spoons.
