By fizzy drinks I'm gong to assume you mean carbonated drinks like cola and beer. If this is so, then the answer is no. Fizzy drinks are safe for asthmatics. The only exception might be if your Asthma is triggered by gasstrointestinal reflux, or GERD. In this case, your asthma is caused by stomach contents working their way back up the esophagus, some of which makes it into your lungs, thus triggering asthma. GERD occurs in about 10-20% of asthmatics. If you have GERD, "fizzy drinks" may worsen this effect. So, overall, fizzy drinks are safe for asthma, unless you have GERD.
