Nobody really knows that ghosts are or are not hallucinations. We are able to assume and make educational guesses. In most cases when a person sees things that are not there it is called 'hallucinations.' Some people believe in ghosts (entities) and say they have experienced seeing something and when they looked back it was gone.

Schizophrenics often experience hallucinations and many medications or street drugs can trigger hallucinations.

Where things exist in the real world it is easy to agree on what people are seeing/looking at. However when someone says they can see things when other people can not there could be several explanations:- * They are lying for some reason (e.g. to get attention). * They are hallucinating (certain medical conditions can really make people 'see' things that are hard to distinguish from reality). * They are really seeing ghosts (there is no proof that ghosts exist so this is really hard to believe) You have to decide for yourself what to believe about your friend.

If you think you see ghosts, give it a week or so to actually see if you really do. If you believe you do see ghosts, I will tell you if you do or dont. I see ghosts myself and will tell you that when you do see a ghost and you are a child you may start out by seeing things out of the corner of your eye. They will look like shadowy black figures. When you go to look at what is you find that it is not there. Once you hit the age of 11 you are still seeing the figures but starting to see the faces. Soon as you get older you will see them. They can tell if you can see them. So they will just stare at you like they do to me. It creeps me out. Good luck!! =D
