Are narcissists typically hoarders

My narcissistic mother was a hoarder. It was so bad, she could have been on that television show about them. Mostly, she would save the enormous amounts of junk she would buy at discount stores, thinking she would re-sell it at flea markets. Also, she couldn't admit she had ever made a mistake by buying too much, and throwing or giving anything away would have been an admission of imperfection.

I also think the hoarding might be a symptom of the general disorder of their personalities and minds. It takes a fair amount of maturity to summon the effort required to maintain a neat household, and to discipline oneself to keep it that way, and narcissists are like little children in many ways.

Although I've heard of some narcissists who are obsessively neat. They vary - but some are really childish, stupid, and chaotic (my NM was), and their houses reflect that.
