Smooth muscle and elastin.

Smooth muscle.
The middle layer of a vein is called the tunica media. It is made of circularly arranged smooth muscle and connective tissue (with a lot of elastin and collagen).
The middle layer of the uterus, consisting of smooth muscle, is called the myometrium. This layer is responsible for the contractions that occur during labor and menstruation.

Connective tissue cells are contained in extracellular matrix composed of collagen and elastin. Examples include fibroblasts in the case of collagen and fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells for elastin.
