Yes, I overcame ADHD. I was diagnosed as being hyperactive as a child in the 80's and drove all my school teachers crazy. My parents did not want to give me drugs because they wanted a more permanent solution and did not want to dull my creativity. Instead my parents turned to natural solutions for curing my ADHD.

They taught me Transcsendental Meditation, and also where carefully to remove all food with additives especially colorants) from my diet. Gradually over several years I became more and more focused, and caused less trouble.

I still believe I have an ADHD type of brain, but that is not really a bad thing, because I believe it gives me more creativity I have been able to overcome the bad ADHD symptoms and am able to focus and get things done, but I still have the benefit of more creativity.

I still practice Transcendental Meditation twice a day and am still carefully to avoid junk food.

If you have ADHD you should know this, it's not really a disease, you just have a brain that functions slightly differently If you take drugs you might get better focusing ability but your going to destroy a lot of the extra creativity you might otherwise have had. Think of what you have as a gift that you just need to harness.

One other thing I have noticed that has really helped me stay focused and calm is regular exercise, especially weight lifting. I am not 100% sure why weight lifting helps more than other sports, but for me it seems to.
