Hi,
Yes, Hashimoto's can contribute to a compulsive behavior, and here's why.
Hashimoto's can express itself in many forms in many people. With Hashimoto's a person's thyroid cells are breaking apart and when they break apart the contents of these thyroid cells spill out into the area surrounding the thyroid.
These contents include the enzyme Thyroperoxidase and the protein Thyroglobulin. This is the reason why we have antibodies to the enzyme called TPO or Thyroperoxidase antibody and the TGA or Anti-thyroglobulin antibody.
But what about the thyroid hormones that are released? These add onto whatever thyroid hormones are already circulating in the blood stream, what your thyroid has produced as well as those from a thyroid prescription if you are taking one.
So this spilling of thyroid contents adds on more thyroid hormones with the person experiencing the inability to be still, or relaxed or mentally focused. And a person can feel this way for a week or longer because the primary thyroid hormone called Thyroxine or T4 has a half life of 7 days.
This means that half the Thyroxine that is secreted today will still be around in a week.
I hope this adds some clarity to why you can feel obsessed, or that you can't relax, with Hashimoto's.

To prevent your cat from cleaning herself on you, you can gently redirect her behavior by offering a toy or a scratching post for her to groom on instead. Consistently reinforcing this behavior with positive reinforcement can help discourage her from grooming on you.
Yes, you can purchase algae eaters online. They will contribute to a cleaner tank, however, you will still need to do some regular cleaning of the tank, yourself, as well.
Chemistry contribute to sanitation (not inverse) producing soaps, other cleaning agents, pesticides, disinfectants etc.
Cats may bite their kittens while cleaning them as a way to stimulate their breathing and help them eliminate waste. This behavior is instinctual and helps the mother cat care for her kittens.
Trees absorbing carbon dioxide gas. Cleaning forests cause for Increasing CO2 level.
Cleaning materials are important because they help maintain hygiene, remove dirt and germs, and prevent the spread of infections. Using the right cleaning materials can also prolong the lifespan of surfaces and equipment, ensuring they remain in good condition. Regular cleaning with appropriate materials can contribute to a safe and healthy environment for both individuals and communities.
Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate. Too much causes loose bowel movements and magnesium can contribute to kidney stones.

In addition to ammonia, the compound ammonia cleaning solution may also contain water and other ingredients, such as surfactants or fragrances, depending on the specific formulation. These additional elements help enhance the cleaning performance and may contribute to the overall effectiveness of the solution.
The cleaner fish, such as cleaner wrasses or cleaner shrimp, perform a mutualistic cleaning behavior where they remove parasites, dead skin, and fungi from other fish by eating them. This cleaning behavior benefits both the cleaner fish and the fish being cleaned by reducing parasite loads and maintaining their health.
No, bleach does not stop dogs from peeing. Bleach is a cleaning agent and disinfectant, but it does not have any effect on a dog's behavior or ability to urinate.
PERC dry cleaning produces percholorethylene, PCE, tetrachloroethylene, and tetrachloroethene which has been identified as a toxic contaminant and potential human carcinogen. CO2 does not produce these chemicals it is cleaner and greener.
