No, there is no reason to give a Puppy or a Dog teething gel as dogs do not have teething pain like a child.

puppies do get teething pain like children. just not as bad. im going through it now with my puppy, i dont know about the teething gel, ask your vet they should tell you if its safe No teething gel for puppies. Get a chew toy you can put in the freezer to chill. The chewing and the cold will help rub and numb the gums.

Why do babies suck on their hands?

Depending on what age the baby is... Sucking provides comfort to a young baby, it reminds them of feeding from the breast or bottle. It could also be due to teething, chewing on the hands provides some relief from the pain of teeth breaking through the gum. You could apply teething gel or give them a teething ring if you want to discourage them putting hands in their mouth.

Can dog run fever while teething?

It is possible that a puppy might have a temperature while teething due to the fact that it can be painful. The normal temperature of a dog is 37.5-39oC. If the temperature remains high for more than a day or 2 then take your puppy to the vets (in case an infection is the cause of the fever).
