I have a two part answer for you. First, no Lupus can not be 'caught'. Lupus is a DISORDER (not a disease) of your friend's own autoimmune system. It's on tilt perhaps in more simple terms. Your friend may or may not even be in an active flare of her immune system, lupus tends to come and go on it's own mysterious schedule. Second, there simply is no infection to pass to anyone or to be caught fro

m a kiss. However, you may be a potential infection waiting to happen to your partner. If your friend is taking any immune suppressors to stave off a flare and you have a simple, but active, virus that would not be an issue for anyone not on such medications, she could be at risk from infection from you.
