Many times young women have more problems when they first begin because of the influx of hormones, PMS, and a cycle that will take from 8 months to a year to settle down. Women, in general, are more emotional because of the hormones and they have physical problems with cramps, joints aching, back aches, painful breasts, bloating, and food cravings. Eating foods high in sugar, caffeine, salt, and junk/fast foods can make PMS worse, but B6 and B12 has shown to help. Learning yoga or swimming and meditation will also help.
