I just came back home from the hospital. I went in for vaginal spotting. Doctor confirmed my pregnancy (6/7 Ala along) and said that spotting during early pregnancy is fairly common as long as its not accompanied by chills, fever, heavy bleeding with or without blood clots. I tested positive for a UTI and doc stated that the spotting could be from that. He put me antibiotics for a week. I have no UTI symptoms besides the spotting and twitched/vibrations around uterus. Good luck.

Yes, spotting can be a symptom of a UTI.
Yes, a urinary tract infection (UTI) can sometimes cause spotting, which is light vaginal bleeding. This can occur due to irritation of the urinary tract or the close proximity of the urethra to the vagina. If you experience spotting along with UTI symptoms, it is important to consult a healthcare provider for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Yes, antibiotics used to treat urinary tract infections (UTIs) can sometimes cause spotting in women as a side effect.
You can still get pregnant with a UTI. A UTI during pregnancy can raise the risk of preterm labor.

No, but a UTI during pregnancy may increase the risk of preterm labor.
No, a UTI would not change the results of a pregnancy test. A pregnancy test detects the presence of the hormone hCG in the urine, which is only produced during pregnancy. A UTI does not affect hCG levels.
Both UTI and early pregnancy can cause more frequent urination. See your health care provider for appropriate testing and treatment.
Hello. No this doesn't mean its a miscarriage hun. Miscarriage bleeding is usually heavy, red and very painful cramping. Its most likely early pregnancy spotting or spotting due to a UTI.
