Short answer is yes. Usually, if this occurs, it will be when you first start taking the drug or when you increase the dosage. Of course follow your doctors advice but what seems to work for me is back off for a week then start up again. I have been taking Asacol for some fifteen years now with minimum side affects but if I increase the dosage to much at once I do get headaches. It can also be effected by other drugs you may take. Asacol has been a lifesaver for me compared to where I was without it.
