yes they can the glue is heat activated so it can fall out in hot showers but it is unlikely they can also slide out of greasy or well conditioned ( oiled up) hair and i had a client flat iron too close to the head and melt them out and i also see them get torn out when hooked for the resin that they are attached by a small amount of your own hair
