I am a nursing mother and have been using the herbalife shake- formula 1, tea, and multi-vitamin since my daughter was 10 mo. old.

I was very critical about what diet program to use since I wanted to lose that last baby weight (10 lbs) but didn't want it to affect my daughter. A friend of mine gave me a bunch of Nutrisystem products after I heard that one of their actress "spokesmodels" had been able to use it while nursing only to find out that the company itself would not let me sign up for their membership because I was nursing. I am a nutritionaist who specialises in helping mums and pregnant women get the best nutrition - and so many of the mums want to lose their baby weight whilst breastfeeding. As mums are regularly breastfeeding for 6 months now the weight loss question is one I am getting more and more and a lot of mums have asked about Herbalife. I fully researched all of the products in the Herbalife range and there are a lot of them! They are a nutrition company so everything they make comes from a strong scientific backing which is good and the products are sound. However - I would not recommend all of the products when breastfeeding as some have caffeine in and weight loss acelerators which are not good if you want a restful baby. The products in the range that I do endorse to my clients are the formula 1 nutritional shake and the flora fibre tablets. These contain no caffeine or weight loss accelerators and the mums I know have used them have had good weight loss results of approx 500g - 800g per week. The product is basically a meal replacement but it's focus is on nutrition not weight loss (with weight loss being a by product of getting good nutrition) and this is why I recommend it.
