It can depend on your ethnic background. But it is a genetic pass on from research it is mainly a European health issue BUT, BUT seeing how I have European mixed ”even though you cannot see it if you look at me” I was diagnosed with it when I was 14 even though I suffered silently with it when I was.little. It wasn't until 9th grade and an ambulance ride to the hospital did I actually find out. I was diagnosed with ”diverticulitis with a redundant colon” Normally a person has 3ft of colon but I had 5ft and to top it off it looked as if ”someone opened my stomach and threw everything in there” their words not mine.

That's when they found out that I would go almost a month without doing a BM. Then I was constipation like nobody's business. When my wife and I had children I noticed some familiar things I would do one of our son’s would do the same pertaining to BM’s and stuff. I questioned my sons doctor but we were told that it's not normally found in African Americans...😒😒😒😒😒Do not let the skin complexion fool you it you have European in your background you better check it out.... My youngest son was diagnosed at the age of 9 with diverticulitis w/ redundancy of large intestine. It was only after my wife pestered our doctor until they checked on him.

My parents never knew because I stayed silent until that one day in school which led up to 3-4 months of home schooling until I healed enough. Check, Check, Check, Check to be safe.
