Although it is a commonly held belief that skeletons cannot swim, this is not entirely correct. While slow and inefficient, the skeletal surface does provide enough impermeable surface area to exert pressure against a liquid mass, enabling skeletons to swim, albeit poorly.

An interesting side-note, however, is that skeletons are among the least at-risk from sharks, due to their complete lack of blood.
