There is no definite answer. I've heard of babies surviving as early as 14 weeks, however, this is extremely rare, and it depends on individual cases. It's different for everyone. You definitely have the best chances after at LEAST 25 weeks, though. You have an excellent chance after 36 weeks.

Is it dangerous to go into labor at 29 weeks?

Although all the baby's organs are formed it is not yet fully developed or mature enough for an independent existence. If it survives it will need specialist care in a neo-natal unit for many weeks and may have developmental problems. Only a small percentage of babies born at 24 weeks survive.

Can babys live 9 weeks early?

a fetus can medically survive from 24 weeks, so theorectically can survivve then on, so at 31 weeks would stand a better chance than a 24 week fetus, however this does depend on the circumstances surronding the birth, mothers medical history and wellness of the baby, no one will give 100% survival rate even to a full term baby.

Can a baby live outside a womb at 15 weeks?

The age of viability is 24-26 weeks gestation, although a baby born that early will have some complications. A baby born at 20weeks gestation cannot survive outside of the womb; therefore, the further along the pregnancy, the greater the chances of survival for the fetus. Babies born very premature have immature lungs, brain functioning capabilities, skin is very fragile; therefore these babies are unable to regulate their body temperature. In other words the baby is most likely not going to survive.

Can you give birth at 5 months?

It has been known to happen, but is highly risky and not all babies survive because their little lungs, skin, etc., are not developed enough. Still, miracles never cease.Yes, its happened and its not a good think. The baby most likely will have medical issue's or could be lost. The baby won't survive.Five months is 20 weeks. I know of a baby that survived at 22 weeks, but generally the doctors will not even put a baby born earlier than 24 weeks on life support. The chances of a baby born at 20 weeks surviving are almost nil.
