I WOULD SAY YES. I ASKED MY MALE OB/GYN BEFORE I HAD MINE DONE AND HE SAID NO. NOW 3 YEARS LATER MY NEW FEMALE GYN SAYS YES. 1 YEAR AFTER I HAD MINE DONE I STARTED TO HAVE THYROID PROBLEMS HYPO AND THEN A YEAR AFTER THAT I STARTED SKIPPING MY PERIODS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN MY LIFE, AND THEN ANXIETY AND INSOMNIA STARTED. I BET IF I DID NOT HAVE IT DONE NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!
I would answer no. I had a tubal ligation 16 years ago. I am now 53 and still having normal regular periods.
It is possible for the clips used in a tubal ligation to come undone or loose. It can happen for various reasons, but it is a fairly rare occurrence.
Not really. Tubal ligation is a surgical procedure. A 'ring' is not applied, rather a surgical tie.
No. The penis does not even come close to your fallopian tubes and it is also not a surgeon.
You may have a tubal pregnancy. It is possible because my mom had one ten years after her tubal ligation. You should go to the emergency room. If your tube ruptures, you could bleed to death.
Yes, but it would be extremely rare, unless your tubal ligation has come undone. The chance of the pregnancy being normal are lower, and the chance that it is an ectopic or tubal pregnancy is much higher than normal.
go see your gyn. the ligation didn't interfere with your ovaries, just the tubes. you should still have your monthly cycle. i hurt a little after mine the first couple of months. doc told me to come back if i didn't have it. sometimes they have to do a d and c to scrap scar tissue away from the ligation
OMG...... I Dunno because I am siting here wondering the same thing!!! Me to, breast milk, missed period, left abd. pains, pinchy like pains, with having a tubal ligation done almost 5 years ago after my 5th child was born. I think we need to see the Dr. :)
no
The chances of pregnancy after tubal ligation is about 1/300. If you haven't seen a doctor I would advise you to, this could be as simple as a hormonal imbalance but there are some rare tumors that cause lactation. This is something that needs to be looked into.
No, if I were you, I'd go see a doctor as soon as possible. It isn't usually normal for a healty woman not to have a period. Well I personally had my tubes tied in June of 2005 and just had my first "REAL" period last week January 16, 2006, so yes it is possible and I was not pregnant and still am not pregnant. I had my tubes burned. if you were breast feeding then you have a good chance of not getting one for a while.
not likely will that happen.......doctor's these days perform better surgeries then they did back then if you had your tubes tied, cut, and burnt then you should'nt have that problem.
YOU CANT!!!! once you get em tied that's ITANS2:You can get pregnant by artificial implantation (test tube baby) if your uterus is still functional. So far as tubal ligation goes for avoiding pregnancy, it isn't perfect. This quote comes from the attached link. The failure rate for tubal ligation is slightly higher at about 2 percent which translates into a risk of pregnancy occurring following tubal ligation of about 1 pregnancy in 1000 women who've undergone this procedure.
