Yes, rubbing alcohol can help dissolve super glue from glass. Soak a cloth in rubbing alcohol and place it on the glued area. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before gently rubbing the super glue off. Repeat if necessary.

Use a dab of cooking oil and rub the glue off then clean the mirror with window cleaner to remove oil. No harm to the mirror, works on any type of glass.
I wouldn't recommend it as super glue is a cyanoacrylate. Some super glues are used for sealing wounds but they are different to the super glue you by off the shelf at a hardwear store.

You will need to force a drop of super glue into the joint between the metal and the glass in at least two places to tighten the glass doorknob in its metal mounting. If the knob is completely off, you might need to drill a hole in the metal from the back and force the glue in between the metal and the glass.
You cannot get super glue off many porous or soft fabrics. It may be scraped off many shiny hard surfaces with a razor blade.
