An icepick headache is also called a "Cluster" headache. It's very dangerous and considered the worst pain known to medical science. Women who have it say it's a lot worse than childbirth. It's treated as a medical emergency if you're forced to a hospital.

Ice Pick Headaches are short bursts of pain that are largely not understood. Migraineurs are especially susceptible to them. They are considered benign (not serious), however any change in your headache pattern should be investigated by a doctor - especially a headache specialist - to rule out other problems that may be more serious, or treatable. Ice Pick Headaches should not be confused with Cluster Headache.
