yes you can die just from Swine Flu doesnt matter if you have asthsma. The longer someone waits to get medical care, the more likely they are to die or get seriously ill.
Specifically, the flu is more likely to turn to pneumonia in asthmatics.Get vaccinated for the flu. If you are over 60, get pneumovax for pneumonia as well. Be alert for signs of real serious respiratory distress , like wet-sounding wheezing, burning in your chest, any lack of mental alertness etc. Respiratory therapy will likely be needed . Keep your Doc abreast of any worsening of symptoms.
they were able to catch it in time and give him medicine even though they didn't know about the swine flu yet
Swine Flu
yes..... a 23 month old has died from the swine flu
swine flu is not as bad as normal flu
You can die from any strain of flu, anywhere in the world.
Swine Flu
no
Its almost like the normal flu. Though there are some different symptoms. You don't really die unless you don't take medication.
yes!!
The swine flu already hit in 2009. As of 2011, annual flu shots include a vaccine for swine flu.
Those who die have respitory failure which means they can't breath properly after they get pneumonia. You can get pneumonia after a normal flu too (I did because I have asthma and is extra sensitive therefor) and since our immunesystem doesn't have anything against H1N1 since we never encountered it before, ppl die.
"The shot" is a vaccine for the swine flu. If you get the vaccine, then, in theory, you don't get the swine flu. If you didn't get it, then you didn't "survive" it, because "surviving" it means that you got the disease but didn't die from it. So, zero is the answer. On the other hand, the swine flu is no more deadly than the common flu, so the vast majority of the people who got the swine flu survived it.
