Broken brackets happen sometimes during treatment! Most doctors will have to replace a broken bracket on a patient at least once during their braces experience. Usually, it is caused by eating or chewing on something hard or sticky that causes enough force to dislodge the glue from the tooth or bracket. I would call your orthodontist and let the office know that they are broken. Most times,

you can shift the broken brackets to a stable position and place wax to help with discomfort until you can make it back to the office to repair the brackets. I have never personally eaten Takis chips, but if they are fairly hard, you may want to be as careful as possible when eating them as to avoid future bracket breakage. I hope this helps!
