Can you get brain damage after being resuscitated?

For brain damage to kill you directly, the damage would have to occur in a vital center of your brain. ..one that controls breathing, heart rate, etc. Brain damage kills you indirectly by impairing your judgment and causing you to do careless things that result in your death, like driving over a cliff, into a tree...or thinking you can fly and jumping off tall buildings.

If you would ask me I would say YES why not ?? if that part of the brain does still have a bloodcirculation then why not ?? there is this one cause that intriged me.

a marine that was shot trough his head (just behind his ear and went trough his brain and came out on the other side of his head)and trough his shoulder (left or right doesn't really matter now). Doctors told this man that he would never be able to walk or use his arm again.

The most amazing thing happened.

Eleven months later he did his first babysteps not much later he again learned how to use his arm.

SO

is it possible to treat brain damage??

if you would ask me only if you would really put an effort in if that is the only thing you want then go get it don't quit don't give up make it your life.

Certainly. The cure rates are improving , but don't bet on anything.

it is possible but you can survive it. you will be on life support.
