If you are having a period, then no you aren't pregnant. If you are "spotting" then you could be. If it makes you feel better go and get a cheap test. They are usually as sensitive as the expensive ones. Good luck! -K

How long after your period are you able to make babys?

If a woman menstruates then she is already capable of becoming pregnant - ovulation occurs prior to menstruation. Typically during a 28 day cycle a woman will be fertile from days 7 through to days 16, although everyone's menstrual cycle is different.

Can women get pregnant 17 days after her period?

A woman can only get pregnant if she has sex during ovulation or for the week prior when there is fertile cervical mucus present - but without tracking her cycles with FAM she can't know when she is fertile or not, so she must always assume she is fertile. Thus if a woman does not use birth control then she could get pregnant 17 days after her period.

Is it possible to feel the heartbeat of fetus in very early before missing your periods?

Typically no. A fetus normally develops a heartbeat at around 18 days, this would normally be 4 days or more after the first skipped period. The timing would be: day 1 menstrual cycle; 14th day ovulation. assuming you get pregnant on this the earliest day of the cycle possible, its 14 more days (28 total) until menstrual cycle (typically skipped), and than 4 more days until heartbeat development (18 after ovulation if pregnancy occurred the same day). However, every women is different and the average timing will not apply to everyone. Also of note is that it is possible to have a menstrual cycle even after being pregnant. This can happen if the pregnancy is just before menstruation but where the egg was still able to attach itself safely and is not flushed. In cases like this you may not realize you are pregnant until the following menstrual cycle is skipped, in which case you've already passed the 18 day incubation period and the baby would have a heartbeat prior to the skipped period. But timing wise you'd already have passed a menstrual cycle with the child prior to this.

How can you determine your ovulation cycle when you have been on the pill for so long and you have not had a period in two years?

While on the pill you don't have an ovulation cycle - the pill prevents ovulation. Once off the pill you can start tracking ovulation by cervical mucus changes and charting your menstrual cycle. Ovulation happens about 14 days prior to menstruation.

Is it possible to have kids if you never had a period in your life?

It is possible, although not very likely. Women are unable to reproduce until they begin their menstrual cycle, which includes ovulation. Ovulation is when the egg cell is released from the ovaries and travels down the fallopian tubes into the uterus. It occurs about two weeks before the menstrual bleeding. If a woman were two weeks shy of having her first period, it is possible that she could become pregnant from unprotected sex.

At about what point in the cycle does ovulation occur?

Ovulation occurs during the ovulation phase, typically this is 14 days into the menstrual cycle. Multiple eggs may be released during a 24 hour period but at most there'll only be a viable egg present for up to 48 hours.

Do women gain water prior to their menstrual cycle?

You didn't exactly type that right, but if you mean water weight, then i think no. Because they become bloated, but it's not like water weight from drinking a bunch of water, it's like fluids inside you from about to be on your period. Don't worry, this will go away after your period.
