In ectopic pregnancy, there are three mechanisms that occur: delayed ovulation, altered tubal and uterine motility, or altered immunity. Even though there is no study that supports a specific mechanism by which smoking causes ectopic pregnancy, there are many studies that support that smoking indeed plays a factor in having ectopic pregnancies. According to various research and studies, women who smoke are more likely than nonsmokers to have ectopic pregnancies. Apparently, smoking is associated with up to five times greater risk because of the nicotine in cigarettes. Nicotine causes contractions in the fallopian tubes resulting in muscle spasms which can alter the pathway of the embryo. Smoking even as close as the time of ovulation, can already alter the fallopian tubes and temporarily block any embryo that passes through. Therefore, I highly suggest cessation of smoking before ovulation, which is definitely even before the first two weeks of pregnancy.
Hi, I had an Ectopic pregnancy and my right tube was removed. This was my first pregnanacy and I was devastated with the experience.. Doctor suggested me to avoid pregnancy for at least 6months..So waiting for That now..
Not necessarily. I had an ectopic pregnancy that was not discovered until my 1st ultrasound at 10 weeks. I had no pain or bleeding at all.
Yes, you do. An ectopic pregnancy is just like a "regular" pregnancy for the first few weeks. Everything feels the same. An ultrasound is done early in a pregnancy to check things out, and if a pregnancy is ectopic, a good ultrasound technician will be able to spot it. There is no other non-invasive way to discover an ectopic pregnancy, and because of the risks posed by an ectopic pregnancy, it is critical to discover it early - if in fact there is one. Ectopic pregnancies are invariably life-threatening events, and prenatal care is important for that and many other reasons.
you may want to visit the doctor, it could be an ectopic pregnancy
If you have an ectopic it's a ectopic from the start so yes.
I had an ectopic pregnancy and had my tube removed two weeks ago, I bled lightly for two days, I guess it differs from woman to woman.
A tubal ectopic pregnancy is usually discovered sometime between the sixth or seventh week of pregnancy, but can be noticed as early as four weeks into a pregnancy. If there a no symptoms of a tubal pregnancy, it may go unnoticed until a first trimester ultrasound.
I had an ectopic (tubular) pregnancy, and my home pregnancy test was positive by 5 weeks. I would go to your obgyn and get a blood test. They can check hormone levels to see if you are pregnant, how far along you may be, and if they feel it may be ectopic. Good Luck!
Ectopic pregnancy is a serious health risk for the mother, so the fetus must be aborted.
According to my dr. my uteurs grew I had an ectopic pregnancy of about 5-6 weeks. The dr. told me I had a healthy 5 week uterus. 2 days later my tube ruptered. I'd go get a second oppinion if I were you.
If the ectopic pregnancy has been terminated (either medically or naturally) it should take around 2-5 weeks for your body to realise what has happen and ovulate again.
An ectopic pregnancy usually becomes apparent around 5-6 weeks as the growing pregnancy stretches the Fallopian tube and may burst it. Most of the signs and symptoms of pregnancy can also be signs /symptoms of other conditions. see a doctor.
