If you suffer from hypoglycemia then you are certainly sensitive to carbohydrates. Those sensitive to carbohydrates could be more likely to develop Diabetes because of the strong effect of insulin on their bodies. High insulin levels, which are characteristic of those with uncontrolled reactive (or postprandial") hypoglycemia, suppress a fat mobilizing hormone, and if the person is sensitive this may easily lead to obesity. Obesity and lack of physical activity are the biggest risk factors for type II diabetes. However some thin and even active people develop type II, and the reason for this is yet unknown.
It is commonly assumed that hypoglycemia will cause a person to develop type II diabetes but this is not yet supported by scientific fact.
When you can no longer control it with the pills.
They are getting Diabetes because they are not eating right. If they eat too much junk food, there blood sugar rises and it puts them at a higher risk of getting diabetes. Also, families with a history of Diabetes or Hypoglycemia are also at more of a risk.
Does hypoglycemia lead to diabetes 2? My HbA1c level is currently 5.9
pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus type 2
Type 2 diabetes is a type of diabetes where the individual is not fully dependent on insulin. A type 1 diabetic requires insulin.
The types of Diabetes are type 1 with sub type -brittle diabetes, type 2 and juvenile diabetes, type 3 (under research) , and Gestational diabetes during pregnancy.
Well, diabetes happens when your pancreas stops working. When you have Type 1 Diabetes (like me), your pancreas makes no insulin at all. Most people take shots or use an insulin pump. Type 1 Diabetes can not go away. This type usually happens in children. Type 2 Diabetes usually happens in adults. Sometimes Type 2 Diabetes can go away. Most people who have Type 2 can lose weight to end their Diabetes. Most people with this usually take pills instead of shots. :) Hope this helps... :P

Insulin is the hormone that is imbalanced in type 2 diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance results in the production of increased, but ineffective, insulin.
No but you can get Type 2 Diabetes.
There is NO type of 'good' diabetes, but the one your looking for is probably type 1 diabetes. People are usually born with that type. Type 2 diabetes is the one people get if they're overweight, don't exercise, and they eat junk all the time.
absolutely. There are 2 kinds of diabetes. Type 1 and Type 2.
