I took my daughter to the doctor 2 weeks ago with a high fever and no other symptoms other than she was tired. They tested her for the regular flu and it came back negative so they said it must be Swine Flu and prescribed her Tamiflu. I asked about testing her for swine and they said now that they know it is in the area, they do not send out samples to be tested anymore. They said it would take 2 weeks to get the results back from the CDC even if they would send it out for testing. My husband went to the doctor today with a 102 degree fever and body aches. They tested for the regular flu and it was negative so they treated him for swine also with Tamiflu. I guess they are not testing anymore....that is frustrating.
