No you can't touch the child when the AED is analyzing.
Do not touch the child before analyzing the heart rhythm so the AED will not pick up your heart rhythm. Do not touch the child before delivering a shock so you will not be shocked.
Some AED prompts are: analyzing, do not touch the patient, check the patient for breathing and a pulse, and shock now.
Some AEDs after the pads are attached you plug in the pads before the AED will analyze; some the pads are attached to the AED and you need to push the analyze button. At this point, do not touch the patient. So, the best answer to me is "the rescuers should make sure the AED is analyzing and do not touch the patient".
The AED can be used on a child if the child pads are available. Currently, the AED is not set up for infant use.
Because the AED may pick up the persons rhythm who is touching the patient and not shock when a shock is required.
No it can't; you must use adult AED pads for an adult & child AED pads for a child.
Before the AED analyzes the rhythm, make sure nobody (including yourself) is touching the victim. The AED may pick up the heart rhythm of the person touching the victim and not the victims heart rhythm (or lack thereof).
No you can not use one adult and one child aed pad.
If it is a shockable rhythm, the AED will analyze and defibrillate as needed. Continue CPR when not analyzing and/or shocking.
No
Child AED pads may not deliver enough energy, so they are not appropriate to use for an adult.
No; remove the child from the water and then apply the AED.
