No; Vaseline might help with the discomfort but an itchy rash needs appropriate medication. Your pharmacist - don't be embarrassed, they know all about these things - or doctor will be able to give you something that will work magic very quickly. Meanwhile, the Vaseline will cause your underwear to require a lot of laundering, which keeps you on your feet and reduces irritation caused by sitting down a lot. It is highly unlikely that vaseline can cure any type of itchy rash. It may even make it worse, since the vaseline can trap bacteria and fungi, and prevent proper cleansing of the area. It also blocks air, which is important since most bacteria and fungi breed much more rapidly in damp areas of the body, and areas that don't get the proper ventilation. You may have a yeast infection, for which you can get over-the-counter medication for. But if you have never had a yeast infection, you need to have a doctor diagnose you, in case it is something else. But, until you can get to the doctor, (at least when home) try wearing a loose robe with no underwear, to allow good ventilation, and do not use vaseline. You can try Vagisil, or a similar product to help with the itch and discomfort.
