Having a T7& T8 like I have prevents me from walking without the aide of a walker. Had the injury been lower there would have been a chance for me to walk without a device.

Spinal Cord Injury is not a one size fits all. Perhaps there is someone out there with a T7 & T8 who is waling without a devise. Usually the T7 & T8 causes a weakness in your truck area..lose of control over your bodily functions..weaken abs.

Exercise is key to your recovery and health.

Anything is possible..believe in your ability to make it happen!

What is a T-7 paraplegic?

A T-7 paraplegic refers to an individual who has sustained a spinal cord injury at the T7 vertebra, which is located in the thoracic region of the spine. This type of injury typically results in paralysis of the lower limbs and part of the trunk, affecting motor and sensory functions below the level of the injury. Individuals with a T-7 injury may retain some trunk control and can often participate in rehabilitation and adaptive activities, but they generally require assistance for mobility. The degree of independence can vary based on factors like overall health, rehabilitation efforts, and use of assistive devices.

What is right paracentral disc protrusion at T8-T9 and T7-T8?

This means that the spinal disc ("shock absorber" between the vertebrae) is protruding (bulging) on the left into the area where the peripheral spinal nerve leaves the spinal cord (neural foramen). If the disc compresses (impinges) the spinal nerve in the neural foramen, there can be symptoms that radiate into the extremities. If the nerve impingement is in the neck, then symptoms are usually felt in the shoulder blade area and arm. In the low back, the symptoms can be felt in the buttock and back of the thigh ("sciatica") and even the entire leg and foot.
