I certainly wouldn't think so. When something occurs in the front of the neck, and lymph gland reaction will be limited to the front of the neck. In the posterior neck, there are lymph glands there as well, but this "hard lump" could also be a sebaceous cyst. "Hard lump" is not usually heard from a patient, and I would be concerned and want to know if there are other "hard lumps", such as under the arms, and in the groin (and actually get to examine them). If there are multiple "hard lumps", I would strongly suggest you see a physician and let him determine the cause. There are many "innocent" reasons for swollen lymph glands (if that is what this is), but there are some not-so-innocent things that could cause that as well...
