I've experienced this. I had vaginal bleeding the day after I had sexual intercourse and thought it was my period. It lasted just as long as my normal period would but was a little light for me. Didn't think much about it, and didn't have sex after that. However the next month I realized I was about 4-5 days late for my period and was really concerned so I took a HPT. Got a positive. Took two more because I couldn't figure out how I could be pregnant when I hadn't had sex and had thought what was a period in between. I'm now approximately 10 weeks pregnant but being diagnosed with an incomplete miscarriage due to bleeding again around the time that I would have had a normal period and they've been able to find a fetal pole but no heartbeat after two ultrasounds. Bleeding stopped immediately after diagnosis, so now I'm having to play the waiting game to see if miscarriage will continue naturally or if there's any chance that the doctors could be wrong. My mother and grandmother both experienced this same thing just to later discover they had been pregnant with twins, miscarried one and continued to a healthy delivery with the other. Should be going back in 1-2 weeks for more bloodwork and another ultrasound. Not looking very positive but miracles do happen.
