Birds and chickens eat ticks.
If chickens see ticks, they will most likely eat them. Dust bathing pretty much takes care of a lot of the bugs on chickens. I personally, wouldn't worry about it. ;)

I live in Kentucky on lake Barkley and we have alot of ticks but as soon as the toad and frog babies start to come out of the lake and ponds the ticks disapear and fast. So the baby frogs and toads are what eat the Ticks around here. Mike
No, We have picked paralysis ticks off our free range chickens & apart from some swelling, they have not shown any adverse affects from them at all. We have only ever seen ticks on their face where there are no feathers.
