CopD can affect this system because the lungs can't take in as much oxygen so air can't go to the organs that need them. In other words, CopD can contribute to a lot of things but can't when there is not enough air. Many people have CopD and it is becoming more common. To me, CopD is becoming more common because people smoke and as much as smoking is common, that too is also becoming more common. I hope that I clearly answered this question. Thank you.

Depends on the person. You can have a dog allergy but no COPD, COPD but no dog allergy, or COPD and dog allergy.I recommend you do an allergy test to see if you are allergic to dogs. If it comes positive, you can still have certain breeds of hypoallergenic dogs. I added a link for you in the related links section with an article that explains what makes a dog hypoallergenic and lists breeds you could consider (and avoid!) if you have a dog allergy. Also, if you do have one, you should take to your doctor before making a decision on whether or not to get a dog.
COPD affects each person differently. There is no cure, and most of the time is progressive, but new medications are helping alleviate symptoms and prolong lives. The severity, other health issues, response to medication, age, and other factors play into the life span of a person with COPD. Many people live several years with COPD and an improved lifestyle.
While COPD primarily affects the lungs, research has shown that it can also have indirect effects on the eyes. People with COPD may be at a higher risk of developing conditions like glaucoma or cataracts due to factors such as hypoxia, systemic inflammation, or medication side effects. Regular eye exams are important for individuals with COPD to monitor and address any potential eye complications.
